IntelliPatterns are designed to create fingering options based on your desire to move higher/lower on the fretboard or to play at fixed positions. Select an option and then tweak the Start@ value to try placing the root note at different strings.
Optimal fingering approaches vary from raga to raga! So don't forget to check out the different options as well as the presets to find a pattern that suits your playing style.
The digits indicate the number of notes to play on each string, starting at 6th.
For eg, 0,2,3,4,3,3 would mean skip the 6th string, play the first two notes of the raga on the 5th string, the next three notes on the 4th string and so on.
These are presets based on common fingering idioms and may not fit every raga! Don't forget to check out the IntelliPatterns for more options.
Select the root note that you want to play the raga in.
Note that, playing in some root/pattern combinations are not feasible since the fingering structure would fall out of the fretboard range.
Look for the message at the top-right corner that indicates that the options you selected cannot be mapped out correctly.
